Players must wear a white shirt and black shorts that are long enough to put a sticker on
ALL players must attend at least ONE tryout to be considered for a team

Tustin Fire (EXTRA)

Tustin Fire (EXTRA) teams are highly-competitive select teams for divisions 10U-16U.

How to play on a Fire EXTRA team: Interested players should attend tryouts held in January and February. Tryouts are open to core, returning EXTRA players, club players, and any interested player who would like to be considered for placement on team. The Player Review panel will review and approve player selection. Player status (selected, not selected) is sent to player family via email by late March.

How to coach a Fire EXTRA team: Interested coaches should complete the Fire EXTRA Head Coach application that is posted in January. The APP Coach Review panel will review and approve coach selection. Application is open to core, returning EXTRA coaches, and any interested coach who would like to be considered for placement on team. Application status (selected, not selected) is sent to applicant by via email BEFORE the first tryout in February.

Decision made by the coach and/or the player review panel is not subject to appeal.

The primary season is in Fall, although many EXTRA teams begin training and attend tournaments in summer. During the Fall season, Tustin Fire EXTRA players may not participate in the Fall core program and may not play for another club soccer team.

Tustin Fire teams compete in the AYSO Section 11 EXTRA Circuit against other Regions' EXTRA teams. Post-season playoffs are in December and January. Teams that win the EXTRA post-season Champions Cup tournament advance to the Western State Championships in mid-March.

Many Fire teams continue to play during the "Spring Select" season from March through May.
