2004 Ken Aston Cup
The 2004 Ken Aston Cup will take place this year June 25, 26, & 27 in Temecula California. Hosted this year by Area 11-L, the Ken Aston Cup is designed to provide an opportunity for soccer officials to improve their skills through metoring, training, and assesment by national referee assessors.
Three-Man referee teams will compete as officiants during actual tournament games and test their officiating skills against other AYSO referee teams.
Particpants receive a referee jersey, tournament pin, coin, t-shirt, commemorative referee patch, lunch, and an invitation to Saturday night activities.
An application for referee teams can be obtained from AYSO 11-L. Additional information on referee participation can be obtained from Joe Benton at (949) 702-1315

LAW BOOK
(Rules of Soccer)
The "rule book" for
soccer is titled "Laws of the Game" and is approved by
FIFA (Federation Internationale de Football Association). It is
exactly the same set of laws (rules) used by virtually all soccer
organizations, in all parts of the world. AYSO also recognizes "Laws
of the Game" as the laws of soccer with some (but very few)
exceptions. Many "myths" exist about laws that don't exist
or inaccurately describe some laws. For the text of the laws, please
check them out, verbatim, from the FIFA Web Site, Laws
of the Game
Certified referees who need a copy
of the Laws of the Game should contact the referee administrator.
